Colorful Beasties

Contest entry for element contest. I like the wa it turned out, but I'm still not completely satisfied....
So you're wondering why the hell her blue-jay griffin as representing water? Well, blue-jays themselves represent clarity and energy, and so water... yeah, I figured they went together.

What's going on? Em, well, the tiger is fire, and his feet char the ground. And the droxiger's (Sunray) wings are forming from the combined elements, and as they are forming they drip to the charred areas of the earth, creating growth of plant life (therefore representing earth.) Yeah, whatever.
